In her heart Harriette Schwartz is and always will be a native New Yorker. She served as a Special Events reporter for RFE in New York. RFE stands for RADIO FREE EUROPE. She worked for many years in entertainment as a VP for Fremantle, the well-known reality show production company, implementing international sales of American television programs. She is a lifelong author and writer of poems, articles and books who now works on various writing projects for others as well as her own.
Harriette’s writing began with creating & illustrating her own greeting cards. An internet aficionado since the mid-1990’s, Ms. Schwartz has been virtually published online at various sites including HELIUM and SEEKER MAGAZINE. Her writing has also been spotlight-featured several times on EONS. Some stories that have been featured on these sites: CHRONIC IS 100% OF THE TIME, ROMANCE CYBERSTYLE, and DYSFUNCTIONAL IS NORMAL. Her articles which have appeared in print in both the magazine and subsequent book BACK IN THE BRONX are: A MISSING PERSON OR NOT A MISSING PERSON and THE SEDGWICK PROJECTS. Her Poem, REACH FOR YOUR RAINBOW is in print publication in the magazine, VISIONS ANTHOLOGY. MILTON SWADE COUNTS is a children’s counting book Ms. Schwartz wrote and illustrated. Other current book projects include THE BABYBOOMERS TIME MACHINE, ADULT SILLY STUFF a book of whimsically amusing poetry and has numerous new project irons in the fire. Ms. Schwartz will also have an article in the new book Parent/Teen Stories: Without Judgement, Volume I, by Susan Clauson. Harriette ran a very popular social community for Baby Boomers called Boomerville USA. You can also find her as @HJSWritergal on Twitter and HJSWritergal on Skype as well and on Google+. Of course she was an active force on TOD HD as well as on Nostalgia HD, creating and running many of their most successful groups. Harriette also produces the Jay Link HOUSE OF MADNESS online show where the mayhem reigns. A Karaoke lover, she is known to sing solos and duets with others. Harriette’s own online show, VOICES ONLY was geared to helping those who want to be heard and not necessary seen to warble out loud, aired on Nostalgia HD Radio every Saturday night.
Harriette co-authored the book, LOST PALLIES available on Amazon.com. Its a collection of afterlife contact short stories, all based true occurrences. Other ebooks available include THE BETHEL BASH:WOODSTOCK 1969,THE BABYBOOMERS TIME MACHINE, POETRY AND MUSES OF AN ORIGINAL BABYBOOMER and ADULT SILLY STUFF. Leo Grillo, producer/actor and founder of D.E.L.T.A. Rescue a no-kill animal preserve in Acton, CA asked Harriette to do an article about the sanctuary and it is currently running in issue 5 of the online digital magazine, Tweeting Times (pages 20/21.)
